Flight crew and cabin crew lined up for a photography possibility to enjoy the launch on twenty-five January of Malindo Air’s second route to Taipei, this time from Kota Kinabalu. The LCC already serves the Taiwanese capital daily from Kuala Lumpur.
Malindo Air now acts Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) from two airports in Malaysia. On 25 January the LCC started out four times weekly flights from Kota Kinabalu (BKI), a sector length of 2, 195 kilometres.
The route is already flown daily by both AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines. Chandran Rama Muthy, CEO, Malindo Air, said: “We expect at least 25, 000 tourists (from Taiwan with this year) to come to Kota Kinabalu on these new travel arrangements. ” The LCC already serves the Taiwanese capital daily from Kuala Lumpur, a route it launched last September.
Malindo Air flow will soon celebrate the fourth birthday having started functions on 23 Mar 2013. Its fleet has already grown to 40 aircraft; six 737-900s, 20 737-800s and 16 ATR 72-600s.
